E-books The PDF e-books offer a visually pleasing experience. In fact, they look exactly like the book. They can be read with Adobe Reader 6. With Adobe Reader 7 or the Adobe Digital Editions software (using Adobe Reader 8, Flash Player, and Javascript enabled in your browser), you can even create your own library of borrowed titles, search for keywords, read aloud, and play multimedia content. Adobe Reader 9 will not work with OverDrive ebooks. Important
Before you choose your Adobe Reader, please read the excellent Help files on the subject available from OverDrive. Adobe Readers all have different features. If you are currently using a Reader, downloading a newer version will update all Reader files on your machine. (Reader 6 is no longer available for download from Adobe, so you will not be able to reinstall it after an upgrade.) Be an informed chooser—read the Help files! |
